The inn furthest from the road, beside the two olive trees. I hear moaning from within the stable, like a woman in labor.

We’re on our way.

Keyes?

Down here, sir. Stay low.

Is that a baby crying? Oh my—. Merry Christmas everyone!

Shh! Merry Christmas.

That old man who just stepped outside must be Joseph. Piedmont, your Galilean dialect is the best. Go talk to him.

Yes, sir.

That was quick. What did he say?

Peace, praise God. Nice weather. Just polite conversation.

Did you get the selfie?

Yep.

That’s the important thing. Let’s go. When to next?
